Hello!

My name is Rayjean and I am a registered veterinary technician(veterinary nurse). I have worked in the field for 10 years, licensed for 8. I have experience in emergency care, internal medicine, nutrition, dermatology, and preventative medicine. My love for animals is what encouraged me to develop this service. Throughout my vet. nursing career, I've seen so many cats and dogs that become so anxious and fearful at the vet. Sometimes owners are surprised at how different their pet seems and most reassure me that "They aren't like this at home". I 100% believe them.

I know how hard it can be to bring your fur baby in knowing it's going to be a stressful experience for them. I'm here to do what I can to reduce you AND your pet's stress by providing veterinary nursing services in the comfort of your home.

My Goal for Marley's Angels...

...is to make veterinary health care more accessible.

I have noticed the increase in pet parents and am so grateful for it.

I also see the increased demand for veterinary care....

More Pets = More emergencies, more sick visits, more annual exams, more vaccines

I have noticed that veterinary ER's have increased wait times and general practices are booked out for months.

It could be months before the next available appointment with a veterinary specialist.

This is all because there are more pets out there than the veterinary community can handle...

That's where Marley's Angels comes in!

I love doing research and finding reputable evidence to support what I'm interested in. I found an article by Frontiers in Veterinary Science that in summary states “...there is a lack of consistency in how access to veterinary care is defined, limited knowledge on how social barriers may impact access to veterinary care, and limited knowledge on how lack of access to veterinary care may influence the welfare of both livestock and companion animals.”(Pasteur et al., 2024)

The research has been done, but things are not clearly defined.
I like their idea of redefining what access to veterinary health care means to further research:

"Consequently, we propose the following broader and more comprehensive definition as informed by the findings of this review: Access to veterinary care means that the economic, physical, social, mental, and emotional resources necessary for people to secure, communicate with, and benefit from the services of a trusted veterinary service provider are available as needed to optimize the health and welfare of animals in their care. This implies that virtual or mobile services are afforded, or that brick-and-mortar veterinary facilities are within sufficiently close geographical proximity to not unduly burden clients, and that they have the necessary resources to travel to and fro…” (Pasteur et al., 2024).

If your dog’s quality of life is improved by a new medication, but it’s stressful to take them to the vet to have them give it, I’m here for you.

If your cat loves to make biscuits on your chest, but you wince in pain because their nails are so sharp, and they won’t let you trim them, I’m here for you.

I am here for you and your pet.
